Diagnosis: According to the medical reports shared with us ,the patient is suffering from Metastatic Carcinoma of Pancreas. We will need to confirm the diagnosis with some more investigations.

Metastatic pancreatic carcinoma, also known as stage IV pancreatic cancer, occurs when cancer cells spread from the pancreas to other parts of the body. It is characterized by the presence of tumours in distant organs or tissues, even though the cancer originated in the pancreas.

Investigations needed to confirm the diagnosis and plan the treatment – The patient will need to undergo detailed physical and clinical investigations which includes– PET CT, Biopsy, Cancer markers, Blood Investigations, and other routine investigations to confirm the above diagnosis and treatment plan.

Possible Line of Treatment / Plan: Final treatment plan will be decided after completing clinical/ Physical evaluation. However, patients may require 5-6 cycles of chemotherapy +/- Targeted Therapy.

Chemotherapy is a type of cancer treatment that uses drugs to kill or slow the growth of cancer cells. It can be used to cure cancer, lessen the chance of recurrence, or relieve symptoms by shrinking tumours. Chemotherapy drugs work by targeting fast-growing cells.

Targeted Therapy uses drugs that target specific cancer cells and do not allow them to reproduce or multiply.

Estimated costs:

Estimated cost of Initial Evaluations will be approx. USD 800-900 on OPD basis.

The cost of Biopsy may come between $1300 to $1500.

Chemo-port insertion will be a day care procedure and may cost up to $1500.

Stay in India – The patient will require 3-5 days for initial evaluations on an OPD basis. The Patient can be determined as the treatment plan which can be confirmed post investigations only but approximate Stay in India will be approx. 2-3 months.

On Arrival: Patient and attendants will be received at the airport by our Representative. Apart from the medical and nursing team, one Case Manager will take care of all the needs. We shall also assist them with reasonably charged accommodation near the hospital. You may prepare USD 25-45 per day towards accommodation in the guest house after discharge from the hospital.
