Kenya is among the fastest-growing source countries for medical tourism to India. With direct flights from Nairobi (NBO) to Mumbai (BOM) and Delhi (DEL) of just 7–8 hours — the shortest from any African country — India has become the destination of choice for Kenyan patients seeking cardiac surgery, oncology, neurosurgery, kidney transplant, BMT and advanced multi-specialty care.

How the Process Works

Step 1: Free Medical Opinion

WhatsApp your medical reports (in English or Swahili — we have interpreters). Our team routes the case to the right specialist and you receive a treatment plan and itemised cost estimate within 24 hours.

Step 2: Medical Visa

India offers Medical Visa (M) and Medical Attendant Visa (MX) for the patient + up to 2 attendants. We provide the hospital invitation letter that you submit with the application at the Indian High Commission in Nairobi. Processing typically takes 5–7 working days. eVisa option is also available for many Kenyan applicants.

Step 3: Flight to India

  • Nairobi → Mumbai: direct, 7–8 hours (Kenya Airways, IndiGo)
  • Nairobi → Delhi: direct, 7.5–8.5 hours (Kenya Airways)
  • Mombasa → Mumbai/Delhi: via Nairobi or Doha, 10–12 hours total

Step 4: Arrival & Accommodation

Our coordinator meets you at the arrival gate with a name placard and air-conditioned vehicle. Accommodation is pre-booked near the hospital — options range from budget guest houses (USD 25–40/night) to mid-range hotels (USD 60–120/night) and serviced apartments (USD 80–180/night).

Step 5: Hospital Admission & Treatment

Specialist consultation typically on Day 1–2 of arrival. Surgery usually scheduled within 7–14 days. Our case manager is available 24×7 throughout your stay.

Step 6: Discharge, Recovery & Return

Post-discharge recovery in accommodation under monitoring. Final fitness clearance for travel given by the treating doctor. Post-departure tele-consultation support after you return to Kenya.

Typical Total Cost — Kidney Transplant Example

  • Hospital package (donor + recipient): USD 13,500–18,500
  • Round-trip flights (donor + recipient): USD 1,600–2,400
  • Visa fees: USD 160–240
  • Accommodation (6–8 weeks): USD 1,600–4,800
  • Local meals + transport: USD 600–1,200
  • Total: USD 17,500–27,000 vs USD 300,000+ in the USA
